What are my rights regarding a car that was repossessed 4 weeks ago?

We paid for it the next day and 3 days later paid the tow fee. After telling us that we could pick it up and then driving over to get it, we found out it had been transported back to another state, even though we paid the full amount. We still do not have our car back and it has been 3 weeks and we are still paying for it. Can we sue for the money we’ve had to use as a result of them taking our car?

At this point, you will want to speak with the state department of financial regulation or dmv in your state who handles the titling and the one agency who handles the finance regulation.  File a consumer complaint with each agency and also with your state prosecutor's office. If these don't help, file suit against the tow company or finance company for what occurred because if you paid for it, and it has been effectively repossessed, you should stop paying on the loan and contact the finance company.
