Is it legal for my ex’s parent to threaten to kick her out if she doesn’t file for child support?
My ex and I split a few moths ago. We have 2 kids. As of right now they stay with me 4-5 days a week. I pick them up after work and drop them off before I go back in. Recently I received papers regarding her filing for child support. When I confronted her about it she stated that she was threatend to be kick out of her parents home if she did not file for child support. She also stated that she did not want the payments and that she would return it back to me when she recieves them. Is it legal for her parents to, black mail, her into this situation?

Under the laws of all states in this country it is illegal for any person to threaten another if he or she does not do what the threatening person wants that person to do. Such threats could be the basis of a civil or criminal matter.
The conduct of your "ex's" parents from what you have written is improper under the law.
