If I’m an F-1 International student, is there any way I can apply for a social security work permit or even get a green card/become a U.S. citizen?

I’m Taiwanese citizen who has recently turned form an E-2 to F-1 status. I’ve lived in the US for 12 years and I attended college in the fall quarter of last year as an international student. I need to find ways to earn scholarships, grants, loans, etc. If I can, I need to know if there is any way I can apply for social security, work permit or even become a US citizen.

Generally - no. However, I suggest you consult your International Student Coordinator at school regarding OPT/CPT
