What to do if I am an Irish citizen currently living in the US and want to marry my American boyfriend?

What is the best route to take? I am due to travel back to Ireland in about 2 months under the visa waiver program. I don’t want to overstay my welcome.

Hello. You may marry your boyfriend and file for your conditional residency before your Visa Waiver runs out. The filing will allow you to stay beyond the 90 days and process in about 4 months (depending on where you live). We help process Visa Waiver adjustments. There is a way of adjusting to a Green Card without leaving the US. Do you know if you have a 2-year residency requirement with your J-1 program? I would be glad to help. Feel free to email me at [email protected]
