How do I divorce my husband in another state if I haven’t seen him in 7 years?

Do I still have to pay a ton of money?

I am unsure what you mean by "having to pay a ton of money."  Do you mean as support if you make more or in division of assets?  Or in legal fees?  If your husband is agreeable tot he divorce it can be done quickly and inexpensively because it is not "contested."  He can sign paperwork accepting service and waiving answering in the proceeding.  If he refuses then yes, it could get expensive having him served in the other state.  Speak with him and a lawyer.  You may be surprised.  He may want out just as much as you do.  Good luck.
