If my husband and I have separated and decided not to get a divorce at this time, what are our respective rights to certain of our property?

I was just wondering if he would go ahead and put some of our property, such as farm equipment and cattle, into his dad’s name without me knowing, how this would affect me getting half of these things?

You are wise to think ahead.  Although there is no law in Pennsylvania that deals with "legal separation,"  couples can enter in to a separation agreement, which is a legal contract between you that discusses some of the issues you have brought up here: what is considered to be separate and marital property.  That would prevent him from transferring anything in his name alone to anyone else's name and prevent it from becoming a costly legal battle down the road.  Title has nothing to do with what is or is not marital property but it can make it easier to transfer something to hide the asset from your spouse.  Get help.  Good luck.
