The court can change the conditions of your probation at any time... and the probation officer is generally considered the officer of the court. So, yes, they can add the hours, usually as sanctions. However, they cannot alot more hours than authorized by statute. If you do not agree with the sanction, then you do have a right to request a hearing with the actual judge an explain to him/her why you should not be required to complete additional hours of community service.
