2 full time jobs

I was hired 4 years ago for a full time Case Manager position. My co-worker has left her full time position. My boss told me I have to continue my full time position and take my co-workers full time position also. Can she do this to me?

Actually, this is probably perfectly legal. As unfair as it sounds, a company in an "at will" work relationship can set the conditions of employment much as it sees fit. This includes making an employee perform the job duties of 2 workers. That is unless doing so would violate the terms of any applicable union agreement or employment contract. Also, such an arrangement must not constitute some for of legal discrimination. Otherwise, you have no claim here. Your only recourse is to comply with the mandate, complain and risk termination, or quit.
