What do I need to do at the end of my 10 year federal probation?
My probation is ending in about 2 weeks and I was wondering what I needed to do. I have paid all of my court fees, however the business I was paying restitution to has since gone out of business so I have not completed that. I am not scheduled to check in with my Probation Officer for about 3 weeks. Do I still need to call them or am I just done in 2 weeks?

You need to stay in touch with your probation officer until you have a final document from the officer or the court that says you have completed your probation. Many people skip out the last week or two thinking close is enough is good enough... only to find they have blown their probation at the very end.
If the probation department will not give you something in writing, talk to a defense attorney about assisting you obtain the documentation so that all of your basis are covered.
