Is there a way to not have my license suspended?

I got into an accident where I crashed into a ladys fence. Little to my knowledge I did not have insurance because my previous landlord was withholding my mail and I was never notified that my insurance was dropped.

Under the laws of all states in this country, since you were involved in a motor vehicle accident while driving and you did not have insurance for your vehicle in place at the time, your driver's license is automatically suspended. Your defense of not getting notice of having to renew your insurance will not fly in a court of law. I suggest that you get the car insured and hope that the judge will not suspend your license too long after you provide proof of insurance.
