Is my middle name a requirement for rental/lease/sale documents?

I am being asked to sign a home rental reservation agreement with my middle name.
I do not use my middle name for signing. I have asked for the rental company to
remove my middle name, but they are telling me it is required. I have sent them a
signed copy without my middle name. I have already paid and they have accepted
the security deposit.

It is not generally legally required at law, BUT this landlord can require it. A contract can require more or different information or a different or more elaborate way of signing that the minimum legal requirements. If this landlord requires a middle name on its contracts/leases/etc., you have to provide one, the same way a landlord could require a social security number or photocopy of a driver's license. The person or business putting out a contract can specify what is needed to contract with them.
