In state of Florida as far as personal threats at your job what is the liability of the company on the job and outside the job?

I was verbally threatened by someone I feel isn’t
stable or safe. I went to my manager and his
manager but I can’t remain anonymous about this
situation and that puts my safety at risk at work and
outside of work. What is the company liable for and
how should this be handled for my safety?

Your employer is not liable for the criminal actions (threats, or actual violence) of other people, whether customers or fellow employees. One person (or business) is not responsible for what others do that is against the law, so just as you would not be liable for a friend, neighbor's sibling's parent's, etc. criminal acts, so, too, is your employer not liable for the criminal actions of its employees (or customers, clients, etc.). This is a job for the police, not your employer; you should be filing a police report.
