If a business merges with other facilities, should the pay be the same

Over a year ago, my work a hospital bought out two other
hospitals. It is known that the other facilities have a higher
pay rate for the job that I am in. Is there something I can do
about this?

Unless this pay differential violates the terms of a union agreement or employment contract or in some way constitutes legally actionable discrimination (i.e. is based on race, religiont, age (over 40), disability, national origin, etc.), it is legal. The fact is that absent the aforementioned, workers need not be treated equally or even fairly. In an "at will" employment relationship, a worker can be fired for any reason or no reason at all, with or without notice.
