Actually there might night be much that you can do. That is unless your employer's action violates an employment contract, union agreement or company policy. The fact is that most employment relationships are what is known as "at will". This means that an employer can set the terms of the workplace much as it sees fit. Accordingly, an employee can be fired for carrying pepper spray, or for any reason, or for no reason at all, with or without notice.
