Can I be charged for theft of a purse found in a casino if I returned it?

I found a purse and removed money found in it, put the purse in the car but was

caught on camera. I was requested to return the item with all cash to the security personel which was done. Can I still be charged with theft?

Of course you can be charged with theft: you committed theft--you took the money in the purse. That is stealing. Even if you later returned the money when forced to do so by security, that does not "undo" the original theft: you still committed a crime and was caught doing it on carmera.
