I am so sorry for your loss. Do you mean that the safety deposit box has both of their names on the box in that it was jointly held? And are the things inside joint assets as well? The contents that are joint assets are yours when he passes. The other assets that are not jointly held are part of the deceased spouses estate. Please seek legal help to probate the estate.
