What is the best course of action if I am being sued by a credit card company, do not have the money for a lawyer and do not have the money to pay the debt?

they will get a judgment against you and try to collect it from wages or bank accounts. try to work out a payment plan with the lawyer.  if not, a chapter 7 bankruptcy will eliminate this and other debts and give you a fresh start.
