What can we send to my college’s financial aid department as proof of divorce if the divorce is not final yet?

I would recommend either sending them the divorce complaint or, if you filed taxes since the separation, a redacted copy of your married filing separate federal income tax returns.

You should speak with an experienced attorney who is familiar with these areas of law.

Good luck.
