What to do if my husband is an independant contractor and his employer is taking expenses out of his check without showing him the actual expenses?

Or invoice to the charges. Do they have to show him the expenses?

If our husband is an independent contractor then he is his own employer so I am very confused as to what is happening here.  Is he not having taxes taken out of his check?  Then he should not be taking expenses out as an independent contractor.  I would seek help from some one in your area here.  Things do not seem right.  Good luck.
