Do I need a lawyer for a car accident?

Because of a prior accident occurred, I hit a carthis
car hit another car first. The police record states
that I was not at fault.

If you were not injured in the accident, you don't need an attorney.
Since the police report states that you were not at fault in the accident , you should not be held liable.
If another party files a claim against you, refer the matter to your insurance company.  Most of these cases are settled without a lawsuit being filed. If a claim is not settled and a lawsuit is filed, your insurance company will provide you with an attorney at no cost to you.
