Will my heirs have to pay for my unsecured credit card balances when I die?
I have a $10,000 life policy to take care of funeral expenses. My son (executor) is also been put on my checking account as a legal signer of my checks, should I not be able to do it. Would he be liable for my charge card and medical bills?

Being an executor or a signatory on an account does not make you liable for another's bills, so your son should not be liable; and being an heir does not make you liable, either. Any unpaid bills will come out of your estate, however, reducing what is available to your heirs.
