What steps should I take if a store denied my slip and fall claim?

I fell in 6 month ago aand the claims worker responded 4 months ago saying that they were not going to be held responsible, This because the associate on duty wasn’t aware that there was water in the floor. I feel I should be monetarily compensated for lost wages.

Since your claim was denied, you will need to sue the store for negligence.

You should have obtained your medical bill, medical report, and documentation of wage loss.

Your damages (the amount of compensation you are seeking in your lawsuit for negligence against the store) will be determined as follows:  Compensation for the medical bill is straight reimbursement; the medical report will document the nature and extent of your injury and will be used to support your claim for pain and suffering, which is an amount in addition to the medical bill; compensation for wage loss is straight reimbursement.

You will need to file your lawsuit prior to the expiration of the applicable statute of limitations or you will lose your rights forever in the matter.
