What to do if I feel that I have been wrongfully terminated?

About 6 weeks ago, my Dr put me out of work on disability. Then 3 weeks ago, just 1 week before I was supposed to go back I received a phone call stating that my position had been eliminated and I was being termed. I was hired to answer phones and worked for the company’s security department in issuing badges and keeping track of them and logs for all the visitors. If my position was eliminated, why do they have 3 out sourced security guards doing the same job? I thought if job was being eliminated then that meant no one would be doing that job. Is this legal?

You may have a disability discrimination or retaliation case where you can take legal action for damages under FEHA state anti discriminatiion laws.  The key is to discover if their excuse is legitimate or if it is a pretext. There are time restrictions generally of 1 year from the date of termination to take legal action. You should contact an attorney near you now.
