How much notice is required in changes to rental leases regarding a rent increase or non-renewal?
I have leased for over 6 years. Due to seasonal employment my income on regular basis varies and have had gentleman’s agreement with landlord over this matter and have always payed due. I am 3 months overdue rent but have had overdue rent between leases in past. I gave verbal intent to renew lease over 4 months ago. Now my landlord says my renthas gone from $640 to $750 or eviction with less then 2 weeks on current lease.

If you have a lease agreement then it should state what the terms for renewal are right in there. Look and see. Even "standard" or pre-printed leases contain a clause that usually mirrors the law in your state. Increases are permitted by a landlord of a private proeprty that is not subject to rent regulations. Get help. Good luck.
