Unfortunately, you will probably end up paying the pawnshop to recover your property, but you can sue the thief for those costs in a lawsuit for conversion.

Conversion is the unauthorized assumption and right of ownership over the personal property of another which deprives the owner of his/her property permanently or for an indefinite time.

Your damages (monetary compensation you are seeking in your lawsuit for conversion) would be a forced sale (the value of your personal property) and as mentioned above your damages should also include what you paid the pawnshop to recover your property.
