Unfortunately for you, if a person was killed in the apartment complex where you reside after you moved into it, the killing of this person would not in and of itself give you a factual and legal basis to terminate your lease for your rental with the landlord without recourse because you are afraid for your well being.

The answer would be different if your landlord knew about high crime in the complex before you moved in and did not disclose this material fact to you before you entered into your lease agreement.
