What are my rights regarding possible medical malpractice?

When I was at home. a mirror fell off my wall and cut my leg open. I went to the emergency room and the doctors stitched it up, however no MRI’s or X-rays were taken. Now I have found out find out that I suffered nerve damage which maybe permanent. Do I have a case?

You may have a case.  It will depend on whether failing to take an MRI was negligent, i.e. fell below the standard of care, given the nature of your injury.  You need to schedule a consultation with a medical malpractice attorney in your area.  You need to get a copy of your medical records from the hospital.  The attorney will show the records to an expert doctor who will decide whether it appears to be a good case for negligence.  If the attorney takes your case, it will be on a contingency basis, so there will be no upfront costs for you.
