What to do if I was a manager for a big restaurant and was fired for being late but I was the only one ever terminated for this?

I have documents proving other managers were late, even GM’s were late, but no one was ever even written up for their lateness. Only I was. I feel I have been discriminated against. I have clock-in’s from various managers being late but yet I was the only one written up and fired. Do I have a case?

If you were terminated for being late for work where you were the manager for a specific restaurant but other managers in a similar situation were late but were never terminated, you possibly have a case for some discrimination in the event you are different than the other managers who were late for work and not terminated.

Your differences for a possible discrimination action could be based upon gender, religious grounds, ethnicity, sexual orientation and the like. For further evaluation of a possible claim against your employer, you should consult with an employment attorney or a representative with your local labor department.
