If I have a mobile home on my property that belongs to a friend and it’s been here for over 4 years, can he just drive up and take it legally?

I started given him money for it but no legal agreement has been drawn up.

If it is not affixed to the land then it would be considered personal property not real property so an oral agreement to purchase can be enforced against him if he takes the mobile home.  You would also have an issue with trespass on your property for him to get the thing in the first place.
