It all depends on if this is the type of cereal that had a toy in it so you knew to watch out for a toy or if it was something completely foreign to this food. Keep the piece; take a picture of it and also a picture of your tooth. You will need to see a dentist and show the piece to the dentist. Make sure the dentist's office inputs this information into its records. You do need to mitigate your damages so you have to have the tooth repaired now; you cannot wait. Then contact the cereal company corporate office or if you prefer, an attorney, who can sue on your behalf.
