If your criminal history has been asked in supplemental interrogatories you can "object" to the request on the grounds that such is not readily calculated to lead to the discovery of admissible evidence with respect to the underlying lawsuit and leave things at that. You then will need to see if the other side files a petition to compel answers to the given objection.
