Can the seller of a real estate contract sell the contract to someone else if it does not state in the contract that he can?

Do I, as the buyer, have anything to say about it?

What I think you mean is happeneing is that the re has been an assignment of the contract of sale to another  You need to bring the contract to an attorney in your area to review and to ask if the law in New Mexico specifically precludes this.  I do not see that it does.  So if the contract also does not specifically preclude this then you may be out of luck.  Get help  Good luck.
