Can I be fired from my job if I was not given ANY training?

I work as an Inn keeper at a bed and breakfast. Starting out, I was given NO training at all They fired the housekeeper, so I was supposed to cook for everyone, clean all 3 floors on my own, plan weddings, coordinate meetings, marketing, and keep all the guests happy. I was fired due to a couple complaints from guests. My boss kept giving these people FULL refunds for NO reason and then blamed me for the loss of money. How do I handle this situation?

The fact is that in an "at will" employment relationship, an employee can be fired for the reasons you cite, or for any reason, or for no reason at all. This is true unless this action violates company policy, a union agreement or employment contract. Also, your treatment must not have been due to some for of legally actionable discrimination (which you gave no evidence of). So while unfortunate that you feel that you were not properly trained, your employer has done nothing illegal in terminating your services.
