You can ask your insurance agent if there is an additional interest on the policy and who it is.In spite of this, if you let your insurance lapse, and there is a loss, the management company can hold you responsible for any damages and/or evict you, since it is a requirement of the lease. Renters insurance is not expensive and can provide you with protection against fire and theft and liability protection. The cost is usually around $10-$15 a month. If the costs are higher for you, you should shop around for the insurance with another insurance company since there are many options for this insurance. You can get discounts if you have your car insurance with the same insurance company.
