If I was willed property by my father, and the property was sold 4 months before he died, can I make a claim to the proceeds of the sale?

Unfortunately for you, the Will of your father "speaks" at the time of his passing. Meaning, if he sold the property that you were to receive at his death before he passed, you get nothing with respect to the property stated. You only get what is left per the Will at the time of death.
