If I’m a registered sex offender and have done my time/probabtion/register every 6 months, can the police come to my house and check on me quarterly?

If you are required to register as a sex offender, then the police can verify that you have listed the correct residence on your registration paperwork at any time.  They can continue doing so until your time to register has expired.  How often they will and can come is generally limited by manpower contraints, not by a statute.
