How do I find out if im in someone’s Will?

A friend of mine passed away recently but before he died, he had me take my birth certificate to him so he could see how my name was legally spelled. He said that he was putting me in his Will. I don’t know any of his family and I feel bad to call and ask about money.

If you were named as a beneficiary in your friend's Will, you should be notified of this by the executor. Also, once it is entered into probate it becomes a matter of public record which means that you (or any one else for that matter), can obtain a copy from the probate court.
