You don't have grounds to dispute it: you chose to accept their services without knowing the cost. When the billing person told you that their system was down, you could have chosen to go elsewhere. In not doing that--in telling them to go ahead treating you without knowing the cost--you obligated yourself to pay whatever the cost turned out to be.
