You don't give any facts as to your situation. That having been said, whether or not taxes may be discharged in bankruptcy all depends on just what kind of taxes are in question (i.e. income, excise, gift, payroll, etc,), how long the taxes have been past due and, if applicable, when the returns were filed. For example, you may be able to discharge income tax debt for returns you have actually filed at least 2 years ago, and for taxes that were due at least 3 years ago.
