Unfortunately, they will transfer. The reason is because of the National Driver Register (NDR) and the Driver License Compact (DLC). The NDR is a computerized database of information about drivers who have had their licenses revoked/suspended or who have been convicted of serious traffic violations such as DUI. State motor vehicle agencies provide NDR with the names of individuals who have lost their privileges or who have been convicted of a serious traffic violation. Under the DLC, if a resident of one state gets convicted of a drunk driving offense in another state, the driver's home state will be advised. The type of action that the driver's home state will take will vary from state-to-state.
