What to do if I received a summons of foreclosure in my estranged cousin and late grandfather’s names because I’m an heir to my grandfather’s estate?

They entered into a mortgage but I have no interest in this property and did not enter or sign this note. The summons says I have 20 days to respond. What do I need to do?

The lender is required to give notice to all persons who may have an interest in the property being foreclosed on in the estate. You are a potential heir. You need to seek competent probate litigation lawyer to represent you if you intend to respond to the summons; however you can elect to not respond as the value of the property maybe less than the outstanding loan, in otherwords, underwater. and let the property be foreclosed upon.
