If there was some auto incident where the vehicle you were driving had no insurance on it but there was some sort of property and/or personal injuries where you were at fault, do you have insurance for yourself? If so, I would notify your own insurance carrier as soon as possible as to what happened.

Many insurance policies insure not only a particular car, but also the individual driver of a given car regardless of whose car is being driven according to the agreed upon terms of the given insurance policy.

Possibly the driver of the other vehicle may have insurance to cover damages to his or her own car.
