My research suggests that there is no law in FL requiring an employer to provide a former employee with their final paycheck immediately. Normally, you would receive it on the next payday. Additionally, the law does not require any particular way that you have to get that check - it can be mailed, direct deposited or given in person. Accordingly, since the law doesn't specify how you have to get it, your former employer can send it as it would like, as long as you get it in time.
