What can I do about a wrongful lien placed against my property?
A cement company placed a lien on my property by mistake. They got my address mixed up with their intended address for the lien. I let them know about their mistake, to which they admitted they where wrong, but the lien was still placed on my property. This happened about two years ago and the lien is still on my property. Any advice would be appreciated.

I would write a letter by certified mail return receipt requested to the cement company demanding - nicely of course - that they file a satisfaction of lien (and forward you a copy) NOW and let them know that if they do not file it with in 30 days that you will be hiring ana ttorney to bring an action to have them remove the lien and file the satisfaction, for costs, attorneys fees and the penalties provided under the law. Check with some one s your state may in fact provide for damages to you in these circumstances. If you do not get the satisfaction then please do seek legal help. Good luck.
