After working my whole life, I experienced a medical condition that has left me disabled and unable to do my job. I have a spupplemental disability policy with The Standard. Even with all the medical records and forms submitted, they denied my claim and did so with false accusations illogical arguments. After getting an attorney, they then acknowledged i was disabled, but said it was only for a month. They continue to fight me on my claim even though I have submitted proof from my doctor. I have been fighting with them and waiting on their endless ‘reviews’ for a year and a half now. Their process has been less than ethical from the start, with the claim worker twisting conversations, not providing information, filling a denial letter full of reasons that were untrue and never even discussed with me during phone conversations. I’m sure I will be having to sue now to collect my benefits. Horrible company with unethical tactics. My employer who has thousands of employees nationwide even stopped using this company Stay away from this company.
