Had policy for over a decade. It was only a few years ago that I found out how this company/the first insurance agent screwed me over. Due to the multiple changes in insurance agent assigned to my case and the neglect that I experienced, the policy that I have isn’t the policy I signed up for… thanks Equitable for stealing my money and wasting my time. I’m too old now to switch to a different life insurance company. So, thanks.

place your money with them after seeing the glowing returns they suggest you will have and poof they suddenly disappear and the only person making the money is the agent.

dropped my life insurance without notification because of age. Did not notify me to renew and cancelled a policy held for 20 years. A terrible company!

They dropped my life insurance policy within the two year contestability period and said they could not identify who I am… I had the policy for over a year and half why is my idenitity suddenly an issue I have an attorney handling my case and I am going to get to the bottom of this and I have filed a complaint with my state insurance department as well. I am disappointed with this company and would never recommend them to anyone.

AXA/Equitable dropped the insurance I had on my husband for over 35 years claiming that I had not paid the policy for a few months. The payment was always made via direct deposit from my checking account. I did not receive any notification by phone or mail. I noticed that the payment was not deducted from my checking account so I called AXA for an explanation. They refused to reinstate the insurance.

AXA/Equitable is NOT same insurance company anymore. Agents work for commission but not for clients. They stayed my house more than two hours and try to sell me some thing I don’t need.

Cost of my term policy is now outrageous. Had an agent from this company contacted me years ago I could have affordably converted to a whole life policy.
