Over 20 years with CSAA. I have my current auto for 14 years and the rates have gone up in the past several years so I’m paying as much now as I did 14 years ago. Yes I know there’s inflation but this is ridiculous. They’re annual credit they give to you (for the previous year) has been dropping significantly. I just bought a new car so I’m shopping around for a better deal.

I was rear-ended with substantial frame damage. Their approved body shop estimated the repairs to cost $6000. The bluebook on my Echo is $7,500 and as there are no safety tests on rebuilt frames I don’t want to keep the car. They are dragging their feet and so far are unwilling to even settle for the $6k they would spend to fix it. Which is why I’m looking for an alternative for the new car that I will be driving soon.

CSAA has started acting just like all the other insurance companies out there. There is no longer any customer service, no agents, and they try to make you take a repair that you do not feel comfortable with.
My wife and I have collectively been with CSAA for well over 25 years, and this will be the last year. They charge you more money for the insurance and customer service that they do not provide.

Their cost cutting measures have made doing business with them exceptionally hard. To get documents to and from them takes multiple faxes as apparently a number of them go astray into the bowels of this organization. Customer service is basically non existent except in verbage.

I have auto, home and umbrella insurance with CSAA for 21 years. Got rear-ended in my car and suffered whiplash in my shoulder. They strong-armed me into accepting $1500 for settlement with harassing phone calls. I still have whiplash pain now after 2 1/2 years since the accident. They said my whiplash was not serious and if I didn’t settle, they would deny any settlement. I have not found a trustworthy insurance company, yet. But, I am still looking for a decent insurance company to trust.

Rear-ended in 2 different accidents. The other drivers were at fault, with different insurance companies. I filed the claim thru AAA both times. My car was fixed, with no out of pocket, since I was not at-fault. AAA dealt with the other insurance companies.
One accident, I was at fault. The front and side panels had to be replaced. The body shop recommended by AAA was professional and helpful. I was only charged my deductible while AAA took care of the rest. I’m truly satisfied.

The grossly over charge for Home Owners Insurance. We were hit from the rear by someone with the same insurance, they lied to us, were dishonest, and offered a terrible settlement with the comment , take us to court.
Use to be a good company, looking to change companies.

love the service received in the past, however, recent cost cutting leaves us feeling like a # with no local office or services. Rates thru the roof…

Takes 3-4 calls to get anything done. Often you need to get a supervisor on the phone to get anything done.

A clean up crew were at my house two hours after I called CSAA for help. I have nothing but good things to say about the service I received.

I agree with many of the other comments here about their customer service. I’ve stayed with them and paid their rates all these years because it used to be that they were so helpful when you needed them. No longer. I just had a rep with the Claims Dept. hang up on me when I asked to speak with a supervisor. When you’re in an accident your insurance co. is supposed to make things better not worse. Won’t be renewing and I’ve been with them for over 20 yrs.
