If a woman hit the back of my car and drove off but was caught, what should I expect from this?

I have liability and my 3 year old was with me. We do have a court date but this has never happened to me. So I do not know if I should be doing more. My daughter and I are fine other than being very sore.

I am sorry this happened to you.  I am glad neither you or your child were injured.  You should expect that the other driver will receive a citation for the accident and also for leaving the scene of an accident.  If the other driver has auto insurance, they should cover the damage to your vehicle.  Make a claim with this person's insurance as soon as possible.  If she does not have insurance, you may have to make a claim with your own insurance to cover the damage. Good luck to you.
