How long after you are fired can you file forwrongful termination?

I was in a high risk pregnancy due to my age when the termination occurred and could not sacrifice the health of my baby (I was told to avoid stress) therefore I did not file any complaints at the time. It has beeen almost a year since this occurred. Can I take any legal actions against this company or has my time lapsed?

It is my understanding that the statute of limitations for wrongful discharge in Pennsylvania is two years from the date of discharge.  So from what you have written it appears that you are still within the statutory time frame or close to it and you should get moving on speaking with an attorney on the matter.  Find someone that you can have a consultation with. It is my understanding that Pennsylvania limits he ability to bring a "wrongful termination" action and that the right to do so arises in only certain types of cases.  Being treated unfairly is not the same.  And Pennsylvania is an "at will" employment state.  But seek help here.  Good luck.
