Will the courts make me pay the remainder of the lease if the landlord is successful in evicting me?

My landlord agreed to take my rent 10 days late but instead filed papers on the date it was due to evict me. He now won’t return my calls. I don’t know if to show up to court with my rent or just move out then show up at court.

So no rent was taken at all and nothing written regarding acceptance 10 days late, correct? May I ask: what do you WANT to do?  Do you want to stay? I ahve to tell you that he is probably going to ask for the remainder of the lease as payment so think about that.  I would not move out ahead of the court date and I would bring the money with you to pay him pn the spot and tell the courts what you have written here, even though it eally is not evidence of anything. Your credibility will be taken in to account.  Dress well and be respectful to the court.  Good luck.
